Job Summary
The recruiter responsibilities include identifying current and future hiring needs, designing job descriptions and postings, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, screening candidates, conducting phone interviews, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation. This high volume, fast paced recruitment position that required excellent communication skills, detail orientation and the ability to work with multiple hiring managers across different locations in Virginia. This position must have prior medical / healthcare recruiting experience.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Identify hiring needs and develop job requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify applicant requirements, skills and qualifications necessary.
- Attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment resources, social media, and other sources.
- Develop connections with various candidate sources to include, but not limited to, school relations, military hiring, third party agencies, employee referrals, etc.
- Assess and screen applicants' based on their knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Conducting phone interviews (if requested) and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Submit and monitor pre-employment background and drug screening results.
- Promote the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
- Evaluate student and other outreach programs; attend career / job fairs as needed.
- Keep up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company.
- Provide recruitment reports as requested.
- Assist with configuration and updates to Applicant Tracking System as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
- Highly organized and the ability to leverage technology to manage work and work processes.
- Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and approaches to increase quality of applicants, especially in hard to fill positions or geographic regions.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources highly preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR desired.
- 4-5 years of recruiting experience; previous healthcare recruitment
