Job Description
OrthoXpress Bone and Joint is looking for an X-ray Technician to join our team located in Marietta, GA. We are a growing medical practice with a focus on patient care and are looking for a high energy individual to fill this position.
As the X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic x-ray examinations on patients. You will also be responsible for assisting with other patient care procedures. You will be expected to perform all duties of an X-ray technician in a safe manner and maintain an organized work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic x-ray examinations on patients.
- Perform patient care procedures, including pre-operative, post-operative, and routine physical exams.
- Prepare patients for exam by administering topical medications or providing instructions on how to do so if applicable.
- Obtain information from patient charts regarding patient medical history, current diseases, past injuries, etc.
- Prepare patients for radiographic and clinical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative, post-operative, and routine physical exams.
- Ensure that all patients are comfortable during exam by providing appropriate stimuli; if necessary, by applying gentle pressure to affected areas of the body; by providing appropriate stimuli; if necessary, by applying gentle pressure to affected areas of the body if possible; by providing adequate instructions on how to do so if possible; by relieving patient of examination if necessary; by performing other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist
- Proficiency in performing PET scans, CT scans, and X-Rays
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience in mammography and sonography
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medical imaging equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
