Child Nutrition Services Job Description
Hourly Rate: $21.33 - $23.83 (DOE) Steps 1 - 4

Job Summary: The ideal candidate will assist in preparing and serving meals, clean up, and related food service duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve a variety of meals to students and staff.
- Cash Handling: Cashier's meals/snack bar.
- Administrative Tasks: May be required to prepare food service receipts.
- Teamwork: Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lb.).
- Financial Skills: Experience in handling money and operating a cash register preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to relate to students, staff and parents.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate computers and copiers.
Employment Terms:
- Work Schedule: Work Year: Regular school year (plus paid holidays that fall within the school year)
- Hours of Work: Paid Hours: 3.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday
- Schedule Flexibility: Schedule: 5:30 am - 9:00 am (hours may be adjusted to coordinate with students' lunches)
Employee Benefits:
Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours an employee is anticipated to work during the school year. Employees anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability and the employee assistance program.
