Cook/Dietary Aide
Fairway View Senior Communities seeks a Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team. Cooks prepare and dish foods, according to the posted menu, that is attractive, timely, portioned correctly and uses standardized recipes. Has working knowledge of the diets, uses proper portions, garnishes and makes appropriate substitutions. The Dietary Aide performs a variety of dietary activities including preparing foods, portioning foods, setting up trays, clearing tables, racking and washing dishes, pots and pans, maintaining a sanitary environment.Additional duties include:
- Demonstrates understanding of procedures relating to food handling, dish washing, sanitizing work and eating surfaces
- Follows proper safety and infection control procedures in food and dish handling
- Demonstrates cooperation and team spirit when working with staff/residents/patients
- Works with others in the department and throughout the organization in a positive manner of those served and the department
Hours and Pay:
- Part time hours available, typically afternoons
- Additional hours available during the week if desired
- $1.00 evening shift differential, $6.00 differential for picking up shifts
- Alternating weekends, with 1 holiday rotation per year
- Retirement with Employer match
- Paid Time Off
- Hourly Rate: $15.81 - $24.50
