Position Description :
Determine hardware, software, and system specifications, along with configuration requirements.
Execute patching, system fixes, and ensure all assigned systems remain compliant.
Plan, install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, and related client products across multiple networks.
Provide user support in areas such as account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.
Collaborate with the ISSO for data transfers and media creation.
Coordinate and manage user account creation and modifications.
Oversee user support and collaborate with back-shop administrators for additional assistance when needed.
Perform additional hardware and software tasks as assigned.
Required Education and Experience :
At least 1 year of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Windows Server 2012 / 2012R2 systems, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NTP, CA, GPO, and related core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment.
Required Skills :
Strong proficiency with MS tools such as WSUS, SCDPM, SCOM, etc.
Experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft Failover Clustering.
Experience using System Center Virtualization Manager to manage multiple Hyper-V host clusters.
Familiarity with Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), Logical Interfaces (LIFs), RAID DP, Aggregates, and Volumes.
Required Clearance :
Active / valid Secret clearance with an investigation close date no older than 5.5 years at the time of application.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS / SCI-eligible clearance (i.e., DCID 6 / 4 eligibility) within the prescribed USG timeline.
Willingness to submit to and pass a CI polygraph.
Required Certification :
Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification (e.g., Security ). Certification must be kept current.
Preferred Qualifications :
Practical experience configuring and implementing CIFS / SMB3 and NFS protocols.
Scripting and / or programming skills (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, or others).
Experience identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Server virtualization, particularly Hyper-V servers and guests.
Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server implementations.
Experience with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
Basic understanding of networking concepts (routing / switching, VLANs, firewalls).
Experience working with third-party vendors during development and troubleshooting.
Strong documentation skills.
