Overview
Under general supervision of the Hospitality Manager, provides basic oversight of staff and C-Store operations during a specific shift. Follows cash handling procedures and other duties as necessary to ensure a smoothly run shift. Ensures satisfaction and safety of customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Three years retail or customer service experience.
- One year supervisory experience preferred.
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain an Osage Nation gaming license.
- Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
- Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.
- Applicants must be able to perform all essential functions of job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES:
- Monitor staff and business operations during a specified shift.
- Oversees, coordinates, and performs computerized cash register sales transactions and cash management.
- Provides sales coordination and problem resolution for staff; performs direct sales and customer service as and when required.
- Allocates and schedules work within the area, ensuring that all floor requirements are covered during operating hours; fills in for staff as required during breaks and other absences.
- Monitors sales through the cash register; resolves discrepancies, prepares, reconciles, and records cash receipts for deposit, and prepares sales reports.
- Restocks drink machines, makes fresh tea, ensure cookies and pastries are well stocked.
- Sweeps floors throughout shift to ensure appearance standards are met.
- Monitors and coordinates ordering, receipt, and return of merchandise and/or equipment; verifies invoices and billing and resolves errors and discrepancies; as appropriate, coordinates shipping and/or delivery of merchandise.
- Oversees store stock and visual merchandising; participates in the development and implementation of on-floor sales promotion campaigns.
- Monitors general housekeeping cleanliness within the store; ensures that equipment and facilities remain in good repair, and that employee and customer safety standards are maintained. Repairs equipment as needed.
- Trains all team members according to company policies, procedures guidelines.
- Maintain company standards of quality, service, cleanliness and sanitation, safety, and staff job satisfaction.
- Accurately complete all necessary daily, and weekly checklists and reports.
- Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
- Promotes a high level of customer service at all times.
- Reviews daily and monthly reports to monitor fluctuations.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes recommendations for hiring, work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch while performing duties.
- Use of hands to finger, hold, and feel.
- Use of hands and arms to reach and grab.
- Occasional requirement to lift or move upwards of 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is general performed in a retail setting with a moderate noise level.
- Evening and/or weekend shifts may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
