Overview
Under general supervision of the Property General Manager with technical direction of the Hotel from the Hotel Director, manages and ensures the hotel facilities, public areas, and back of house areas are property maintained and cleaned in accordance with appropriate health and safety standards. Manages & supervises the Property Housekeeping department operations, ensures they are efficient and operating smoothly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hotel Administration, Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in Housekeeping/EVS required
- Two (2) years’ experience in a management capacity required
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledgeable in the proper use of commercial cleaning chemicals, vacuums, pan brooms, mopping and proper sanitation of surfaces.
- Knowledge of applicable safety practices and occupational hazards
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements
- Knowledge of management techniques
- Knowledge of budgeting, planning and managing a department
- Skill in managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is generally performed in an office and public area settings.
- Evening and/or weekend shifts may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation and equipment of the facility, public areas, and restrooms.
- Thoroughly inspects staff completed tasks to verify the quality of performance.
- Inventory and order all required cleaning supplies for use by the EVS team.
- Develops, submits, and maintains operational budget or approves variances as necessary.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Performs emergency maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
- Maintains weekly inventory and vendor contracts.
- Manages work orders, daily maintenance schedules, staff schedules
- Handles special projects as assigned
- Utilizes equipment safely
- Operates Company vehicles as required
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes selection, termination, staffing, work allocations, schedules, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and completes personnel actions. Conducts performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensures applicable staff are aware of standards and expectations and effectively communicates consequences for not maintaining expected standards
- Develops and implements staff development plans for those employees who display necessary skills, motivation and attitude to grow within the company
- Assist assigned staff with accurate preparation of detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports as required
- Ensures all employees within areas of responsibility receive fair and equitable treatment with regard to their respective terms and conditions of employment
- Investigates, evaluates information, and makes final decisions regarding matters within area of responsibility in accordance with authority and ensures those decisions are in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and established controls
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
