Description
The DV Prevention Advocate is responsible for educating the public regarding domestic violence, stalking, teen dating violence, sexual assault and human sex trafficking issues. This position is also responsible for raising awareness of these issues and partnering with various entities throughout the Osage Reservation and surrounding areas. The DV Prevention Advocate will provide client-centered, trauma focused supports services for these victims.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies required
- Requires one year of experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, stalking and/or human trafficking
- Must have OVTTACC (Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Requires leadership skills and the ability to take initiative
- Requires a high level of organization, project management and technical writing skills
- Requires demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem solve
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including attending training and conferences
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Must be familiar with all social media platforms
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
