Description
This position performs a variety of duties involving clerical and technical work that includes processing and maintaining medical records, analyzing and compiling medical records documents. The position will serve as a link between ONHS medical staff and outside medical professionals contributing to patient care services.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
- One (1) year of experience in health information/record management required
- Requires knowledge of HIPPA and Privacy Act of 1974
- Familiarity with Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) preferred
- Familiarity with Epic Systems preferred
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems required
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology used in determining nature of patient request
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving skills
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Must have Basic Life Support certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check to include fingerprinting
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
- Must have a clean driving record – may be require to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
