Description
This position requires a person with high personal integrity, ethics and knowledge of culturally sensitive victim advocacy. The Sexual Assault Advocate will provide client-centered, holistic, and trauma focused support services for victims of sexual assault and human sex trafficking.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, associate's degree preferred
- Minimum one year of experience as an advocate working with domestic violence or sexual assault cases required
- Must be certified to perform the Ontario Domestic Assault Risk Assessments
- Must be a certified victim advocate through the National Advocate Credentialing Program
- Must complete OVC TTAC (Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center) SAACT (Sexual Assault Advocate/Counselor Training)
- Must be a notary public
- Must have knowledge of and experience of Native American healing concepts and practices
- Must be able to deal with potentially hostile and/or uncooperative individuals appropriately
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Must be HIPPA trained within 30 days of hire
- Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
- Requires a high level of technical writing skills
- Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training as needed
- Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good communication and teamwork skills
- Must pass a drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check
- Must have the ability to be on call 24/7 for Crisis Line and be willing to travel at night
- Must be able to lift, push, kneel, bend, reach overhead, and pull/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available to go out on crisis calls when needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
