Osborne is opening its first temporary transitional housing assistance and reentry program, The Fulton Community Reentry Center (Fulton). Fulton will provide 140 beds of transitional reentry housing to formerly incarcerated men who would otherwise be homeless after discharge from a correctional facility. Fulton will also provide onsite reentry services, including case management, benefits enrollment, employment, health, and workforce development. The facility operates 365 days on a 24-hour basis daily, including evening and weekend hours.


We are seeking a full-time licensed LCSW Senior Social Worker. The Senior Social Worker will provide direct services to clients, including engagement, assessment, service plan development and monitoring, referral, advocacy, therapeutic counseling, reassessment, exit summaries, and staff training. The schedule for this position requires flexibility, which may include evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Director of Social Services of Fulton Community Reentry Center.


Salary Range: $80,000 - $84,000 annually


Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate client services with mental health, medical, employment, educational, and other social service providers
  • Review and sign off on assessments, including, but not limited to, psycho-social assessments
  • Supervise the Case Management Department, including quality control of services and documentation
  • Manage a small caseload for a diverse client population
  • Provide clinical groups and individual sessions as needed, with a focus on addressing the trauma of incarceration
  • Monitor and document all resident progress toward service plan goals
  • Document all interactions with, or on behalf of clients
  • Maintain familiarity with program resources and contacts available on- and off-site
  • Communicate and collaborate with the client support team and service providers to enhance engagement and ensure the quality of service
  • Report directly to the Director of Social Services for supervision
  • Deliver professional development training to other staff, including how to facilitate various groups and services
  • Complete program reports
  • Attend assigned training
  • In person attendance is required to collaborate with coworkers
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work required
  • ·New York State LCSW certification required
  • Two years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SIFI certified
  • Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with a history of legal system involvement

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Trauma-Informed Care
  • Must have the flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends, as needed
  • Excellent and demonstrated writing ability
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of DHS CARES system, Google Suite, and database management skills
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions, resolve conflicts, and listen
  • Able to deal calmly in crisis situations and handle multiple tasks effectively under pressure
  • Effective at working collaboratively well with diverse groups
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Engaging personality and detail-oriented skills are essential
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills are necessary
  • Effective leadership skills
