Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the sourcing and supply of parts necessary for equipment repair and maintenance. The Parts Specialist will ensure that our operations run smoothly by maintaining optimal inventory levels and fostering relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure parts for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring timely availability.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms for parts.
- Manage inventory levels using demand planning techniques to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Utilize systems for tracking inventory, orders, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with the equipment repair team to understand parts requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Assist in the training of staff on proper handling of parts and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols when operating forklifts or handling materials.
- Manage Service order parts being billed out.
Experience
- Previous experience in parts sourcing or supply chain management is preferred.
- Familiarity with Truck repair processes is a plus, particularly in Diesel Truck repair.
- Experience operating forklifts safely within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. (Can be taught)
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual goals.
