What are the responsibilities and job description for the SharePoint Administrator position at OSC Edge?
As the SharePoint Administrator, the individual will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting SharePoint environments while ensuring optimal performance and availability of SharePoint applications. In this role, the SharePoint Administrator will be required to have expertise in SharePoint administration, IIS configuration, SQL Server database management, and related technologies.
This role requires on site 5 days a week in Colorado Springs, CO)
Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, and maintains SharePoint farm environments (SharePoint Server 2016 / 2019 / Online)
- Monitors and maintains SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and content management features
- Administers SharePoint permissions, security settings, and user roles
- Performs routine SharePoint farm health checks and diagnostics
- Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint-related issues (performance, reliability, and security)
- Manages SharePoint upgrades, patches, and service packs
- Configures and troubleshoots IIS web servers hosting SharePoint applications.
- Ensures proper IIS configuration for optimal SharePoint performance, including SSL configurations and web application settings
- Manages IIS logging, request handling, and diagnostics to ensure smooth operations of SharePoint services
- Administers and supports SQL Server databases used by SharePoint, ensuring optimal performance and availability
- Performs regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning for SharePoint-related databases
- Monitors SQL Server performance, query optimization, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
