Construction Supervisor/ Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Substation Construction Coordinator to support the successful execution of substation projects. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable across all substation construction disciplines - including mechanical/structural, civil, electrical, protection & control, and commissioning - and bring strong communication, organizational, and technical skills to a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate activities across all phases of substation construction.

• Hold regular meetings with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to track progress and align on objectives.

• Review and approve document submittals from substation construction contractors.

• Track Mechanical Completion and Substantial Completion deliverables.

• Utilize Procore and other project management systems to manage workflows and documentation.

• Create and maintain Excel-based data sheets to track project metrics and required deliverables.

• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

• Review commissioning testing results and documentation.

• Supervise substation energization activities.

• Ensure adherence to safety requirements and industry best practices.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in substation construction with working knowledge of:

  • Mechanical/Structural

  • Civil

  • Electrical

  • Protection & Control

  • Commissioning

• Proficiency with computers and common project management tools.

• Strong experience managing electronic schedules and reviewing project documentation.

• Familiarity with Procore or similar online project management systems.

• Ability to develop and manage detailed tracking spreadsheets in Excel.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong client interaction skills with the ability to instill confidence through performance and follow-through.

• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
