Job Overview
We are looking for a high energy Bar manager to handle our Bunker nightclub on Saturday nights, some special events as well as Sunday Tea Dance. Must be available Saturday nights, Sunday afternoon to evening and Monday for inventory and ordering. You are an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager who will oversee the operations of our bar and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly in a night club environments, and possess exceptional customer service skills. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for guests, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and service.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of the bar, including inventory control and ordering supplies.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance customer service and bartending skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Create innovative drink menus that align with current trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service between the bar and dining areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within hotel or fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Culinary knowledge is a plus but not mandatory; passion for the hospitality industry is essential.
