Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, required.
- A degree in a healthcare field, preferred.
- Prior healthcare data abstraction experience, required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collect and abstract data from diverse sources, including databases, documents, websites, and other repositories.
- Conduct thorough reviews of abstracted data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness, making necessary corrections and adjustments as needed.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of the data abstraction process, documenting sources, methods, and any potential discrepancies or issues encountered during the abstraction.
- Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies, duplications, or inaccuracies to maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Summarize and compile abstracted data into meaningful reports, dashboards, or visualizations to aid in data analysis and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, researchers, and project managers, to ensure that the abstracted data meets project objectives and requirements.
- Suggest improvements to the data abstraction process, guidelines, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations while handling and processing sensitive data.

- Proven experience in data abstraction, data entry, or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare, research, or analytical environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies in the field of data abstraction.
