Job Summary :
OMC, a rural hospital dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Provider with Obstetrics (OB) experience to join our team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a close-knit, supportive environment while making a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our rural population. Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population, including infants, children, adults, elderly patients, and pregnant women.Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, both independently and in collaboration with other healthcare providers.Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to expectant mothers, including delivering babies, performing cesarean sections (if applicable), and managing complications during labor.Perform routine physical exams, wellness check-ups, immunizations, preventive screenings, and health education.Manage and follow up on patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, OB / GYN specialists, pediatricians, and administrative staff.Be part of the hospital's call rotation to provide after-hours care to patients, including OB emergencies, emergency department, and inpatient care.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.Educate patients and their families about health management, preventive care, childbirth options, and postnatal care.Participate in community outreach programs to promote wellness, preventive healthcare, and maternal health.Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Qualifications :
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine (or equivalent).Obstetrics experience is required, including experience in prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Wisconsin.CPR and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain).Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting, preferably in a rural or underserved community, is highly preferred.Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare providers.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility and willingness to work in an unpredictable, resource-constrained setting.Preferred Skills :
Experience with rural healthcare challenges and resource limitations.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. EPIC experience a plus.Knowledge of telemedicine practices and technologies.Working Conditions :
