Housekeeper - Full Time - Days or Evenings

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment within the medical center. This role ensures that all areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms, meet infection control standards and provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Typical Schedule

Days - Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and one weekend per month.

Evenings - Monday thru Friday 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM and one weekend per month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, waiting areas, and restrooms.
• Disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent the spread of infections.
• Dispose of waste and biohazard materials according to established protocols.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and seasonal deep cleaning as needed.
• Respond to requests for cleaning and maintain a positive attitude towards patients and staff.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

• Able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of approximately 50lbs.

• Able to squat and crouch.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
• Strength, dexterity and stamina to use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel, grasp, open containers and to operate equipment.
