Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
- Adhere to food handling safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or as a Server is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive dining experiences.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food handling practices is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
