This internship will pay $17.00/hour. This is a hourly position.
Overview
This internship is available to an interested student that can commit to working a summer only internship. The internship would start May 27th and run through the beginning of August with a tentative end date of August 1st (this end date is subject to change).
Work location of this internship will be at the JUMP Simulation and Education Center in Peoria, Il. Interested students must be willing to work during the summer in Peoria, Il as the internship will not offer the option to work remote.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Multimedia Specialist Intern works directly with department staff, project teams, and may work directly with internal clients to develop and create visual educational content. The Multimedia Intern exhibits strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and written and oral communication.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Junior or senior level student currently enrolled in a college or university working towards an advanced degree in multimedia, film, videography, photography or related visual communications discipline.
Experience: Understanding of image composition and variety of lighting techniques. Knowledge of animation techniques, video and audio editing and compositing (nonlinear), video compression and authoring standards for final deliverables. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Camtasia, Panopto, or similar production and post-production tools highly recommended.
Other skills/knowledge: At least a 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) overall current undergraduate GPA.
Strong interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work on collaborative marketing or project teams and receive and act upon feedback from others.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Previous course work or experience in related field.
