Expected pay for this CMA position is $20.41 - $24.01/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

 

MOA pay is $17.60.

This is an Hourly position.


Overview

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

AND Certificate of completion or Diploma from a medical assistant program

 

OR Completion of Guild MedCerts medical assistant certification course AND certificate of completion from OSF applied learning program

 

OR Education equivalency: at least 6 months experience in Certified Medical Assistant role

 

OR proof of completion of on-the-job training/education program for certified medical assisting in another healthcare organization.

 

Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential.
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential.
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential.
  • National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy.

Licensure/ Certification: If working in the Rural Health Clinic setting, will be required to have BLS through the American Heart Association.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

This position requires specific knowledge and training related to the performance of administrative skills, technical / clinical skills and medical procedures commonly performed in a medical practice setting.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record and phlebotomy.

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Epic. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.

 

 

MOA REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High School/GED

 

Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers)​ to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date

 

Experience: ​1 year experience in a patient care role. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and email Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
