What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Surgical First Assist position at OSF HealthCare?
Expected pay for this position is $32.87 - $46.40/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Surgical First Assistant(CSFA) is a trained individual who is able to participate in and actively assist the surgeon in completing the surgical procedure safely, by providing exposure, maintaining hemostasis and serving other technical functions. The Surgical Assistant acts according to the direction provided by the Surgeon. While in the role of CSFA, the CSFA does not function concurrently as the primary scrub technician.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School/GED
Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or 2 years surgical scrubbing experience
Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
Certification from an accredited First Assistant Program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Surgical Technology
