Expected pay for this position is $83.56 - $110.72/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Vice President, Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) is a strategic leader responsible for spearheading the integration of nursing informatics to enhance patient care delivery.
- This key role involves overseeing the optimization and support of clinical applications, as well as managing overall processes for healthcare applications.
- The CNIO collaborates closely with nursing staff and leadership, providing visionary leadership to develop and implement informatics strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting regular assessments, and implementing innovative technologies are integral aspects of the position.
- The CNIO's role is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, contributing to OSF and Pointcore’s commitment to delivering high-quality patient care through cutting-edge technological solutions.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical/nursing informatics or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using information technology in healthcare and healthcare delivery.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare applications, clinical systems, healthcare regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Experience leading committees and teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctorate (MD, DO, PharmD or Nursing)
Experience: Five or more years of prior management experience. Experience with Epic
Licensure/ Certification: Current nursing licensure
