7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: The Community Engagement and Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for working with community leaders, members, organizations and stakeholders to broaden awareness of, and engagement with, the College of Nursing. The Community Engagement and Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for developing and maturing positive alumni relationships and collaborates with the Alumni Association and the OSF HealthCare Foundation to develop, implement and evaluate alumni communication and events to increase alumni involvement and donor support of the college. The Community Engagement and Alumni Relations Coordinator will also help identify and cultivate relationships with current and potential donors, with the vision of growing these donors from entry level to major gifts.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s degree Experience: 1 year experience in a student support service role at a college or university Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Work experience in an alumni support position. Experience planning events. One or more years of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain knowledge of the operation of the fundraising activities, become familiar with department policies and procedures. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of public relations, fundraising administration and marketing at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or related field.
