Expected pay for this position is $33.52 - $39.44/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Condition Assessor applies their knowledge of facilities condition assessment processes, technical standards, and healthcare building codes and regulatory requirements in performing facilities condition assessments and functionality assessments of acute care, ambulatory, and administrative healthcare spaces across the Ministry. These assessments will provide information including whether a facility or space is suitable for its current or intended strategic use, whether major investments are required for renewal & modernization, alternative options, deferred maintenance needs or renovation/new construction. The Facilities Condition Assessor plays a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing upcoming facilities projects, and sustaining the overall facilities asset management program. The Facilities Condition Assessor will be responsible for assisting in the administration and management of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) application to ensure full functionality of the system. They will also assist with the evaluation of existing workflows and ensuring data quality, through updates of property and equipment asset information.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field OR high school diploma with 4 years of work experience in facilities management, maintenance, architecture, construction, or another technical field.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Proficient in technical writing and cost estimating.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management.
- Experience: 5 years of experience performing facility condition assessments in healthcare utilizing Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), asset management, and capital planning software.
- Licensure/ Certification: Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of healthcare building codes, ADA, and regulatory requirements; direct experience in evaluation of major infrastructure, assets, and building systems including interior architecture.
- Knowledge of healthcare facilities management regulatory requirements including Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Familiarity with healthcare facilities, building codes and drawing standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drawing file management. Knowledge of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) applications, specifically Accruent, and of the ServiceNow platform.
- Familiarity with databases and business intelligence tools.
