What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrument Tech II position at OSF HealthCare?
Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The instrument technician will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs. They will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with mission partners and team leaders. Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation. Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 2 years sterile processing experience OR Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
