What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Tech position at OSF HealthCare?
Expected pay for this position is $25.87-$30.44/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: A Lead Maintenance Tech performs a variety of the more complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks. This position requires detailed knowledge of and the ability to operate and maintain the facility’s major mechanical systems such as heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, communication, and fire protection. This is a working lead person position.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Requires a minimum of one to two years of progressively more responsible work experience in fields related to maintenance, and/or construction.
Valid driver’s license required.
Analytical skills necessary to recognize, diagnose, and, within limits, repair equipment and system malfunctions.
Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and shop mechanic skills are required.
Familiarity with building and Safety Codes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Technical training from an accredited school or apprenticeship program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, or other construction trades.
