POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Advanced Practice Education and Fellowship Programs is accountable for education, fellowship programs, and system orientation for advanced practice. The Manager will work in collaboration with its leadership and service line or operating unit leaders to design curriculum plans or training to ensure competency of the APPs providing care. The Manager of Advanced Practice Education and Fellowship Programs is accountable for ensuring accreditation standards are met in each fellowship track.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Masters in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies Other Licenses/Certifications Current state license as APRN or PA Basic Life Support Certification Experience: 5 years of clinical experience 2 years of experience with curriculum design, adult learning/education, and/or simulation Experience with starting new services within a healthcare entity PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: MBA or health care leadership education Doctorate in nursing Experience: Experience in research and scholarship Other requirements/information: A comprehensive understanding of issues facing the healthcare industry and the implications for future provision of clinical services Strong knowledge of leadership development principles and theories Advanced communication skills including the ability to promote teamwork and build effective working relationships throughout the organization, with high degree of emotional intelligence Proven ability to lead the work of teams and leadership to promote a culture of accountability, quality, and service Makes decisions systematically and under pressure, building consensus, can make difficult/unpopular decisions, and considers impact of decisions Documented effectiveness in project managementand multi-tasking capabilities; identifying and resolving problematic situations Proven ability to drive ideas and change through networking and relationship building; apply skills of self-motivation and development
