JOB SPECIFICS
- OSF HealthCare is hiring a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician for an opportunity in Rockford, IL at OSF HealthCare St. Anthony Medical Center
- 1-day per week – Tuesdays only. This is a part-time position defined as 0.2 FTE. We encourage applicants who have an interest in full time position, combining Inpatient Palliative Medicine with an Internal Medicine practice, either inpatient or outpatient.
- Multidisciplinary team includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Social Workers, and Pastoral Care.
- Collaborating Physician with 3 highly experienced Palliative Care APRNs
- Responsibilities include inpatient management and interdisciplinary meetings with Palliative Care and other disciplines at St. Anthony Medical Center
- Program has a typical census of 12 inpatients.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Interest and experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Experience as a collaborating Physician with a robust and highly specialized group of Advance Practice Providers
