Pulmonary Critical Care Physician Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join our team in Peru, IL. This role offers a unique blend of high-volume pulmonary care with critical care coverage, allowing for a balance between clinic and procedural work.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with excellent communication and patient assessment skills. They will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in departmental activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pulmonary and critical care services to patients in the hospital setting
- Participate in rounds, consults, and code responses as part of the ICU team
- Conduct procedures such as bronchoscopies, thoracenteses, and intubations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex pulmonary conditions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Current medical licensure in the state of Illinois
- Prescriptive authority and DEA registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff membership and privileges
- Eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
