What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapy Education Stipend position at OSF HealthCare?
The OSF Saint Francis Medical Center RESP (Respiratory Education- Student Program) is designed to provide educational assistance to selected qualified respiratory therapy students who are enrolled full-time at an accredited respiratory therapy program and are willing to commit to employment at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center following graduation.
OSF Saint Francis will underwrite educational expenses of $4,000 for each eligible semester awarded (For a maximum of four semesters totaling $16,000).
The number of students awarded each semester is determined by the Administrator/CEO of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Be willing to fulfill employment commitment to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center following graduation for a two year period after completing Registered Respiratory Therapy board examinations.
- Participate in an interview with representatives from SFMC Respiratory Therapy and/or OSF SFMC Human Resources.
- Be willing to meet with an assigned Respiratory Therapy Mentor monthly to discuss progression through the respiratory education program.
