What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Sleep Center position at OSF HealthCare?
Expected pay for this position is $32.87 - $38.66/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
Includes a sign on bonus of $10,000.00 with a (3) year work commitment.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the Sleep Center. Maintains and prepares Sleep Center for accreditation by the American Association of Sleep Medicine. Ensures that staff comply with departmental, institutional policies and procedures and are compliant with hospital and organizational annual and ongoing requirements. Develops staffing schedules within budgetary limitations and ensures coverage in case of emergent staffing issues. Supports leadership by providing input in performance discussions and evaluations. Collaborates with Medical Director, OSF Sleep Administrative Team, ordering physicians and person to whom they report.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Associates degree in Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, Electroneurodiagnostics, or other Allied Health specialty; OR • 2 years of experience as a Polysomnographer.
• Registered in sleep technology or accepted to sit for and pass the registry examination through one of the following organizations within 6 months of hire: American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) , i.e. Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or o National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) i.e. Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Disorder Specialist (RRT – SDS), or o Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT), i.e. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
• BLS Certification – American Heart Association • Respiratory Care Practitioners must maintain license in current state.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree • 5 years of polysomnographic testing experience • Holds a second credential, may include but not limited to BRPT (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) CCSH, NBRC (Registered Respiratory Therapist) RRT, (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) ABRET (Registered Encephalography Technologist) R. EEG T.
