POSITION SUMMARY: The transporter is responsible for performing patient transports and patient transfers using the appropriate equipment while adhering to safe patient handling policies and procedures. The transporter is also responsible for picking up and delivering patient care items and visitors between patient care units and other ancillary departments.
STATEMENT OF POSTING: Should there be no fully qualified candidates, this position may be considered full training (waiving previous work experience). CPR due within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: One (1) year previous transport experience in an acute health care setting within the past three (3) years
- Licensure/Certifications: Certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
