Overview
POSITION SUMMARY : ? The APP Trauma works in collaboration with a physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries, ordering, conducting and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing of pharmacologic agents and treatments, and performing necessary invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies and evidenced based practice. Provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy.

- Clinical base hourly pay range for this position : $60.39 $73.68.
Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Masters in ?Nursing Licenses / Certifications : ?Current Certification as an Acute Care APRN Current Licensure in the state of Illinois as a APRN Federal DEA and IL Controlled Substance Current Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Other requirements / information : ?Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to educate family and significant others on care as well as provide emotional support during crisis, deal effectively with physicians and residents, provide training and education to residents, medical students, and nurses Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to manage care of the critically ill adult patient
