Position Summary :
The Advanced Practice Provider - Medical Oncology is an advanced practice nurse or physician assistant with specialty training to practice in an oncology setting. This APN will evaluate diagnoses, clinically monitor and manage hematology and oncology patients utilizing advanced assessment skills and knowledge of clinical therapeutics. The APP role is an integrated one, which includes clinical, educational, and research components. Other roles include but are not limited to chemotherapy teaching, cancer surveillance, symptom management and survivorship management. The APP demonstrates expertise in providing clinical care and counseling to individuals concerned about medical oncology.
Job Specifics
- Our hematology / oncology team is growing and is excited to welcome an experienced APP to join us at the OSF Little Company of Mary Cancer Institute in Evergreen Park, IL.
- This APP would practice at top of license while collaborating with physicians in providing care.
- Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with no weekend call.
- Services offered include IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy adherence programs, clinical trials, radiation therapy, managing side effects and survivorship.
