Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) assists the Ophthalmologist in the testing and diagnostic evaluation of patients with ocular complaints and disorders. The COT does measurements and tests that provide the physician with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis for treatment.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Education: High School Diploma/ GED
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Ophthalmology practice.
- Obtain Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certification through the IJCAHPO within 3 years of hire date.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
- BLS - American Heart Association, within 3 months of hire date.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
