Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Adult Medical Specialty
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Med-Surg
License : Active RN license
Certifications : BLS - American Heart Association
Must-Have : Negative drug screen, compliance with dress code, ability to float to designated units
Job Description :
- Perform general job duties on a General Medical unit.
- Conduct bedside procedures as needed.
- Treat patients with various illnesses such as cellulitis, pancreatitis, diabetes, and manage pain.
- Utilize equipment like Epic and Pyxis in the unit.
- Participate in a shift rotation with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 on days and 1 : 5-6 on nights.
- The charge nurse is available to help reduce the workload when acuity is high.
- Comply with the dress code : any color scrubs; no visible tattoos or piercings except ears.
- Participate in a unit-specific training and orientation program, typically consisting of two orientation shifts and attend ongoing education as required.
- Travel nurses can float to like level care units with full assignments based on their specialty.
- Participate in an equivalent of 12 hours of call-off every 13 weeks without penalty.
