Job Details
Performs cine, digital subtraction angiography, and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Prepares examination area, positions patients for procedures, and operates complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served while following established guidelines for radiation safety.
Job Requirements
Registered with the ARRT and licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
Minimum of 1 year experience in performing radiologic special procedures.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology acquired through completion of two years post high school training at an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Schedule Information
Completes monthly on-call requirements including weekends, after hours during the week, and holidays.
Unit Specific Information
Functions as a scrub tech in the Cath Lab
Operates physiologic monitor during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
