The Maintenance Tech II applies electrical and mechanical related knowledge to test, diagnose, maintain, repair and modify electrical and mechanical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry in facility. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of various trades. Perform a wide variety of electrical and mechanical maintenance and service work on sophisticated equipment/ machines and controls. Diagnose and remedy electrical and mechanical troubles, repairs and replaces equipment. Installs, maintains, and/or repairs equipment.

Job Functions for Maintenance Technician II:
- Inspect and check equipment for proper operating condition, make necessary adjustments, logs test readings, repairs or replaces all essential equipment parts
- Read electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and other technical documentations to determine methods and sequences of equipment/machines
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates and microscopes
- Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings and fixtures
- Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment/machines and systems
- Identify and resolve equipment/machines malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement of components and parts
- Other relevant duties as assigned (to ensure safety, quality, performance, and cleanliness of our operations.)
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician II:
- High School diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance and repair of CNC Machines
- Experience in the electrical or mechanical maintenance field
- Requires experience in electrical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment
- 240/480 Volt and 3 Phase understanding and experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to obtain a powered industrial truck certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of purpose, function, and care for hand and power tools. Ability to effectively repair and maintain physical structure and operation of machinery
- Understanding of safety compliance and guidelines involved with manufacturing including, but not limited to, machine guarding, lock-out/tag-out, and more
- Ability to inspect and test machinery efficiently
Preferred Qualifications for Maintenance Technician II:
- Degree in technical field
- Basic computer skills (email, updating Excel files, searching web.)
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, digital and analog I/O points
- Experience with AD/DC drive motor operation, adjustment and troubleshooting

Physical Working Demands:
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate using English.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to support the weight of machine components and reach into machinery for several hours at a time. Position involves bending, pulling, pushing, and twisting to complete machine maintenance tasks.
- You must feel comfortable climbing the ladder and at all heights.
- Ability to sit for long periods (3-4 hours at a time) and the employee is regularly required to enter information into a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment:
- Most of the workplace is in a temperature-controlled environment with better than adequate lighting.
- $31 - $38/hour depending on experience monthly bonus potential.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Hours: 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
