What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sushi Chef position at Oshio Sushi Kitchen Bar?
Oshio is located in the heart of Grandview Ohio. We are seeking a part time position that will transition into a full time position. Our hours of operation are lunch Monday - Friday 11:00am-1:30pm. Dinners Monday - Friday 4:00-10:00pm Saturday 5:00pm-10:00pm.
Tips are paid weekly on Saturday’s and paychecks are biweekly paid on Fridays.
We are seeking a chef that has experience already as a sushi chef, quick on their feet and hands. Availability must be a few shifts during the week and a Saturday shift.
Responsibilities:
- Arriving in the mornings to prep for dinner services
- Working in a fast environment
- Prepare all types of sushi including nigiri, sashimi, rolls and handrolls
- Acute attention to detail in the food preparation process, mastering quality control
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
