What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at Oshkosh Cold Storage?
Due to company growth, cold storage warehouse seeking HIGHLY QUALIFIED MATERIAL HANDLER / FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Accurately counting and maintaining inventory
- Fully completing paperwork with accuracy and legibility
- Stacking product neatly and in organized fashion
- Reading work orders paying close attention to details
- Applying labels as needed to incoming loads
- Safely performing daily duties with special attention to coworkers and surroundings
- Maintaining an orderly and damage-free warehouse
- Performing miscellaneous other tasks as assigned
Teamwork and Collaboration. Candidate must work well independently and as a team. He/She will act with integrity and treat coworkers, both office and warehouse staff, with consideration and respect.
Required Skills:
- Follows written procedures, work instructions, and directions provided by management and office staff
- Operates forklifts after receiving Lift Truck Operator training
- Close attention to detail
- Preferred 5 years of experience operating forklift in food warehouse environment with minimal damage to product.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Consistent work in cool temperatures
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
