Brief Description
The Facility Supervisor serves members and guests of the Y by providing consistent, quality supervision of Y properties while modeling positive relationship building behaviors. They work both independently and with other staff to ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere for our members and guests serving as the leader on duty. They support program offerings by setting up equipment and spaces for events as needed, playing a key role in the appearance & function of Y buildings. They communicate appropriately & professionally with members, guests, & other Y staff.

Essential Functions
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting, acknowledging, and building relationships with all members and guests.
- Provide friendly & safe supervision of all areas while upholding safety standards.
- Maintain and monitor the integrity of the Y equipment and areas.
- Provide tours of the building and answer questions about program & spaces as needed.
- Serve as the on-site leader & first responder during evening and weekend hours.
- Set up program areas & equipment to support program offerings.
- Creates accurate records and reports in a timely, neat, and professional manner.
- Communicate clearly with members, guests, & other Y staff both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates and upholds the values and philosophy of the Y in actions and attitude.
- Assists with opening & closing facilities, including locking and unlocking doors.
- Monitors and assists in management of lockers within the facility.
- Attends meetings & in-service trainings as scheduled.
- Be available evenings & weekends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Be creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and outgoing with ability to think independently.
- Child Abuse Prevention Training (within 60 days of employment).
- CPR/First Aid/AED Training (within 60 days of employment).
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of relationship building, and problem-solving techniques & methods.
