What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard (20th Avenue) - Evenings and Weekend CREW position at Oshkosh Community YMCA?
**Staff are needed all days. Current needs are evening availability until 9 PM and weekend availability.**
Lifeguards keep patrons safe by preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies. They interact with patrons of all ages in aquatic safety and education. Shifts are available from 5 AM until 8 PM Monday thru Friday, 745 AM until 4 PM on Saturdays, and 8 AM until 12 PM on Sundays (plus other special event hours as needed/available). Staff typically work 5 - 20 hours per week. We work hard to be flexible around school and other job schedules.
Certification is required to work as a lifeguard, but if you don't have a current one we can train you for FREE. We can also train and certify you to teach swim lessons. Bring a strong swimming ability, desire to work with people of all ages, and good customer service skills.
