Join an innovative engineering team at a global automotive company as a CAE Engineer. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a solid background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a passion for automotive design and analysis. You will contribute to the development and optimization of vehicle systems, enhancing both performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed CAE analysis for vehicle body-in-white, focusing on component strength, durability, and system-level noise and vibration transfer.
Develop models for automotive power unit and chassis systems, including engine, motor, transmission, battery, suspension, brake, and steering components.
Utilize 1D and 3D CAE software tools for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD).
Write and debug scripts in computer languages to automate analysis processes, enhance existing algorithms, and improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with design teams to integrate CAE findings into practical design solutions, ensuring that simulations accurately predict real-world behaviors.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a clear focus on achieving optimal outcomes within designated timelines.
Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to share findings with team members and senior management.
Required Skillset:
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience as a CAE analyst, with a strong understanding of specific solver software.
Proficiency in CAE tools such as ANSA, HyperMesh, Abaqus, Optistruct, and NASTRAN.
Familiarity with CATIA V5 and V6, although the role will primarily focus on V5.
Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python and Matlab/Simulink is a nice-to-have.
Demonstrated ability to perform analyses related to component strength, durability, and system noise and vibration.
Experience in NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) and durability analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically and creatively.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Bonus Skillset:
Previous experience in an R&D environment.
Familiarity with additional software tools and innovative methodologies in CAE analysis.
