What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician - Cellular Technologies position at OSI Engineering?
Responsibilities:
- Computer (PC & Mac) setup and maintenance (OS installation, network installations, virus protection, etc.).
- Receive and log test equipment.
- Track/order/inventory of laboratory consumables.
- Procurement and inventory of electronic parts and tools.
- Support test equipment calibration cycles working with equipment vendors.
- RF test execution when required during extensive testing campaigns.
- Rework of small components (0201 and 01005 sizes) on printed circuit boards, soldering of connectors onto traces on circuit boards, form factor disassembly and assembly.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as an Electronic Technician or Test Engineer with instrumentation expertise, including working with devices, network protocols, and RF testing.
- Proficiency with lab equipment and RF instrumentation: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, vector network analyzer (VNA), power supply, and signal generators.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis, soldering, and working at the board level of PCBs.
- Experience with soldering components onto multilayer printed circuit boards.
- Familiar with multiple computer operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.
- Proficiency with Bash shell programming, CLI (command line interface), and Python.
- Experience procuring and keeping inventory of electronic parts, tools, and laboratory consumables.
- Knowledge of current cellular technologies, a plus.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Location: Cupertino, CA (onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Pay Range: $50-$60/hr. (DOE)
