The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. This role is responsible for leading, planning and implementing least cost formula, process improvement and waste elimination activities to ensure operation excellence with the North America plant facilities. In this position, be responsible for improving product performance within our protein category (specializing in bacon). Work collaboratively across functions and facilities to achieve organizational manufacturing and profitability objectives.

Job Responsibilities
- Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.
- Apply understanding of manufacturing operations and finance in the food industry to formulate and recommend short- and long-term manufacturing improvements to senior leadership. Implement strategies as approved.
- Leverage manufacturing technology and processes; evaluate and analyze options to determine alignment with organizational goals and business development plans.
- Ensure operational practices comply with federal, state, and local environmental requirements; evaluate and analyze risks, formulate and recommend policies and procedures, and lead implementation as approved.
- Formulate and recommend ways to optimize production strategies to ensure the physical safety and security of manufacturing facilities.
- Develop new approaches and thinking to share best practices across the organization.
- Enhance OSI capabilities and deploy efficiency improvement plans.
- Evaluate processing technologies and capabilities.
- Serve as a key resource in evaluating future growth and operating system decisions.
- This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 10 years of experience in related field is preferred.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Knowledge and expertise in Pork (specifically bacon) is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of all phases of manufacturing including, but not limited to, production, quality assurance, product development, facility design and construction, and related business impact.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both internally and externally and using influence where necessary to build relationships and achieve organization objectives.
- Ability to develop business plans, basic financial projections, and productivity forecasts.
BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
Work Environment
- Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
- Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.
- This role requires 30% domestic travel.
- Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
- Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
