POSITION DESCRIPTION: Clinic Services Support (CSS)
LOCATION: OSI Physical Therapy Oakdale Clinic primarily and possibly other clinics in the east metro area
REPORTS TO: Clinic Director
PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for ensuring an efficient and friendly atmosphere for the clinic’s reception area and front desk activities including appointment scheduling, checking-in patients, verification of data with patients, chart preparation, answering and routing incoming calls, providing assistance for the coordination of patient flow, assisting clinical staff by supporting delivery of care to patients, and providing administrative support as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the efficient and friendly atmosphere of the reception area. Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming, friendly, caring and respectful manner. Keep reception area neat, orderly and clean. • Maintain therapists’ schedules, scheduling patients into therapist schedules, canceling and rescheduling appointments, and alerting appropriate staff upon a patient arrival or change in their appointment. • Direct all incoming calls to the appropriate person/location. • Coordinate walk-in patient registration and entry of the relevant information into the computer system. • Perform accurate data entry into the electronic system including verification of or routing of correspondence and other records. Ensure accurate forms are completed to facilitate billing, authorization for treatment and any medical release forms. • Maintain proper chart order and perform chart audits. • Provide assistance to therapists with patient care responsibilities including rooming patients, setting-up some equipment for patient visits at the direction of the therapist, cleaning rooms and equipment post-treatment and assisting with laundry duties. • Assume responsibility for clinic opening and closing activities when necessary. • Perform delegated insurance related responsibilities including collecting and validating insurance information, obtaining prior authorizations, tracking insurance referrals, collecting co-pays. • Coordinate daily chart preparations including appropriate paperwork, chart follow-up, and the patient follow-up calls. • Provide support to other team members performing activities and responsibilities in ways that help team members do their jobs well. • Other responsibilities as may be assigned to assist with the efficiency, quality and effectiveness of administrative and clinical services.
Requirements:The location of the position is our Oakdale clinic as the primary location, but it may support other clinics as needed.
Salary : $20 - $22
