Data Curator for AI Algorithm Development

Rapiscan Systems | AS&E, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Data Curator for AI Algorithm Development based out of Billerica, MA.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Data Curator to join our AI development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing the datasets used to train and validate our state-of-the-art AI algorithms for X-ray image analysis.

• Acquire and organize X-ray image datasets from various sources ensuring high-quality and relevance to project goals.
• Annotate and label images accurately to assist in the training of machine learning models for object detection and classification.
• Maintain data integrity by implementing quality control processes, verifying data consistency, and ensuring proper data storage and backup procedures.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to understand algorithm requirements and provide curated datasets that enhance model performance.
• Document dataset characteristics, curation processes, and version control to ensure reproducibility and compliance with data governance standards.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and data curation to continuously improve data management practices.
• Travel for data collection, troubleshooting, and operational observation.

• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related engineering field.
• 2 years or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in data curation, database management, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in image analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in data annotation tools and software is a plus.
• Familiarity with python programming language.
• Experience in the Non-Intrusive Inspection industry is a plus.
