Rapiscan |American Science and Engineering, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a temporary Final System QA Inspector in its Billerica, MA Facility.

You will be performing a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production assembly and subassembly operations on complex capital equipment. You will build and test baggage inspection for airports, container inspection for ports and mobile inspection vehicles for boarders and special events.
Performs a wide variety of system and electromechanical inspections in the manufacturing/assembly process through to final product inspections. Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies and finished systems. Determines acceptability of product, identifies and recommends disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures. Assists in analyzing data to identify and seek corrective action on quality issues. Typical equipment includes multimeter, component testers, torque screwdrivers and the like. Uses computer system to verify component revisions and engineering changes using the corporate business system. Other duties as required or directed.
Responsibilities
- Perform Final System/Pre-shipment Quality Assurance Inspections on a variety of products following documented test and inspection steps.
- Document any defects or non-conformances found and drive their resolution/closure prior to product shipment.
- Participate in the documentation of test and inspection steps for new products and modifications to existing test and inspection steps for existing products as necessary.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 5 - 7 years related Quality Inspection experience highly desired
- Ability to read schematics, drawings, blueprints.
- Use of computer: To verify component and document revisions, engineering changes, TDAs, document non-conformances. Microsoft Office, Agile, ERP System.
