Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a detail-oriented In-Process Inspector to join their team. This position will inspect Assembled Flexible Printed Circuit Boards, Rigid flex and Rigid PCBA for solder joints/ component defects, as well as interprets prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, etc., in order to verify that the product meets proper standards.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing a microscope, inspect solder joints, verify component’s part number. Once tested, complete the required inspection documentation per Company standards.
- Perform First Article review and create discrepancy report for any components issue if needed.
- Re-work panels/ parts if applicable and if necessary.
- Review product lot travelers, logs, and production records for completion and accurate traceability.
- Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 2 years of manufacturing inspection work experience in a production environment required.
- Basic knowledge of techniques for assuring product quality and keen attention to detail required.
- Must have strong math skills and be comfortable working with fractions, decimals, angles, dates and percentages, and AQL sample size determination.
- Competence with measuring tools including caliper, tweezer, microscope, etc. required.
- Ability to read and understand BOM, assembly drawing and assembly instructions required.
- Knowledge of IPC J standards and IPC610A required.
- Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements required.
- Works well in a team-oriented environment.
- Computer skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the business language (English).
